The further north you push, the worse it gets. Military compounds in the north are heavily patrolled — some with overlapping squads that cover each other. The gear up there is worth the risk, but only if you're equipped to handle multiple contacts. Going in unprepared is a death sentence.

Before approaching any military installation, find elevation and glass it. Spend a few minutes watching for patrol movement and patterns. Hostiles tend to follow routes — if you can time the gaps, you can slip in and out. Rushing blind into a compound is how you end up in someone else's killcount.
